Mr. Ellis joined Idaho Timber in 1990, as the General Manager for the Home Center Division. In 1991, he was promoted to Vice President of Northern Divisions and over the next nine years oversaw additional divisions. In April of 2000, Mr. Ellis was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer. In 2005, Mr. Ellis was named Chief Executive Officer and President of Idaho Timber.

Prior to joining Idaho Timber, Mr. Ellis served as General Sales and Marketing Manager at Canfor USA. Mr. Ellis served on the Lowe’s (Home Centers) advisory board in 2012-2013 representing the lumber industry and currently is on the TP advisory board (TP is an independent, third-party wood products inspection, testing and consulting company).

Mr. Ellis has served on various community and humanitarian boards as well as committees offering support for adoption and foster care.
