Born in Rivière du Loup QC, Jérôme grew up in Edmundston NB, and lives in Saint John, NB with his wife of 22 years and their 2 children. Jérôme graduated from Université de Moncton in 2001 with a bachelor of Science in forestry and completed an MBA at the University of Western Ontario in 2008.
Jérôme has been with J.D. Irving, Limited since 1998. He started as a student piling lumber on the green chain at the Deersdale Sawmill. Since then, he has occupied various roles within the company and, as of December 2015 was appointed Vice President of JD Irving Sawmills Division.
Jérôme has been actively involved with the Maritime Lumber Bureau since 2014. In the fall of 2017, he was appointed to the Board of CLSAB, and a board member of the Canadian Wood Council. In addition, he was also appointed by the US secretary of USDA – United States Department of Agriculture, as a board member of the Softwood Lumber board.
