Originally from Chibougamau, Frédéric worked in the events industry before joining the Société de développement de la Baie-James as Communications Coordinator in 2002. He has been part of the Chantiers Chibougamau management team since May 2005. From 2012 to 2018, while serving as a partner at TACT, a consulting firm, he continued to play an active role in the management of Chantiers Chibougamau.

Since 2018, he has once again devoted himself fully to the company, supporting the Chief Operating Officer with the group’s corporate needs, encompassing forest operations, market development, strategic planning, governance, transactions, sustainable development, and corporate finance.

A communications graduate from UQAM, he currently serves as a member of the Office québécois de la langue française, a board member of FPInnovations and the Fonds régional de solidarité du Nord-du-Québec, a member of the Nord-du-Québec regional committee of Investissement Québec, and a member of the Natural Resources Committee of the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec (FCCQ). He is also Chair of the Governance Committee and a board member of the Conseil de l’industrie forestière du Québec (CIFQ). Additionally, he is actively involved in various philanthropic campaigns.
