David Logan is a Senior Economist and the Tax and Trade Policy Analysis Director at NAHB. Before joining NAHB, David served as Chief Economist for the U.S. House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee, Senior Economist for the U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee, and held economist positions at notable think tanks such as the Brookings Institution and the Tax Foundation. He has been cited by Bloomberg (Canada and États-Unis), the Financial Times, the Associated Press, CNBC, MarketWatch, USA Today, Fox News and Newsweek, among others.
Mr. Logan holds an MS in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University, an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis, a certificate in Trade Policy from Harvard University, a Master of Music from the University of Cincinnati, and a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University. He is currently a PhD candidate in Economic Policy and International Security at the University of Maryland, College Park.
